After having soufle for breakfast, Roger and I went for a bike ride on River Road along the St Croix River. The Olsens live on River Road, so it was a simple ride down their drive way, hang a right and then go for as long as we felt like it. We rode all the way up to Nevers Landing, which ended up being a 8 miles one way. The road is heavily wooded (as can be expected) and we only got occassional glimpses of the river. The river has a root beer color as a result of geology, but is considered unpolluted.
When we got back Sarah and Allen took us across the river to Minnesota to see the Potholes of Interstate State Park. The potholes are a geological result of glarcial meltwater, and not something found in the local roads. We saw a several people rock climbing and a group of 3 jumping from a cliff into the river. Oh to be young and foolish??? A very kind gentleman took a picture of all 4 of us at the edge of the park overlooking Wisconsin. Tomorrow we sadly leave the Olsons in Wisconsin and head across Minnesota.
